INSAF-FEM

Innovation Sociale et Technologie pour une Meilleure Employabilité des Femmes Tunisiennes

INSAF-Fem, Social Innovation and Technology for Better Employability of Tunisian Women, is a project coordinated by the University of Cádiz with our university among its main partners, together with the Tunisian universities of Sfax, Gabès, Kairouan, and Monastir, and Galatasaray University in Turkey.

The initiative supports the integration of Tunisian women into the labor market and is committed to providing them with technological skills and media literacy, enabling them to become active participants in the country’s economic and social development, while promoting a culture of shared and transformative learning.

The Project

The project has a three-year duration, from January 15, 2020, to January 14, 2023, and is funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ program and the K2 Capacity Building for Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices – Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education.

Other partners include the Tunisian Ministry for Women’s Rights, Family, Childhood and the Elderly, the Association Féminine pour la Protection de la Famille, and the Union Nationale de la Femme Tunisienne de Sfax.

The main goal of the initiative is to promote strategies for the development of inland regions and cities where equal employment opportunities for men and women are not guaranteed. The project fosters dialogue to improve working conditions and employment opportunities for women through an innovative approach of social compromise and solidarity practices, aimed at creating resources that contribute to the economic and social growth of the targeted areas. It also ensures equal access for men and women to knowledge, economic resources, and the labor market by providing women with advanced skills in IT, technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
