Created to revolutionize how knowledge is produced, shared, and consumed, SLIOB is the content factory of DISAQ (Dipartimento di Studi Aziendali e Quantitativi).
Using cutting-edge digital technologies, SLIOB supports learning by creating high-quality, accessible content. It provides a dynamic environment where students, faculty, researchers, and professionals collaborate to develop innovative multimedia and multidisciplinary resources.
Through targeted distribution, content is shared across digital platforms, social media, and DISAQ communication channels—reaching a wide audience and promoting the spread of knowledge.
SLIOB is both a hub and a repository for Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC)—high-quality online programs focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, finance, risk management, and big data.
These courses combine strong theoretical foundations with practical, hands-on skills in DISAQ’s disciplines, supported by a large database for applied exercises.
In line with the MIT REAP model, DISAQ has developed TEEG – The Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Game, a virtual simulation where players act as policymakers within an entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The game strengthens entrepreneurial culture by allowing participants to directly experience ecosystem dynamics. It highlights the conditions for the creation and long-term survival of start-ups using three types of tools: Analytical tools, Meta-organizational tools, Policy interventions
DISAQ has developed a virtual business game in which players take on the role of Strategy Managers, with the objective of guiding the decisions that will shape the future of the corporations entrusted to them. The CS GAME strengthens the capabilities of students and practitioners in using tools for defining corporate-level business strategies and in understanding their close interrelation with financing opportunities. In 2025, the feasibility study and beta testing phase of the “CS Game” software were completed in collaboration with “The Business Game”.
DISAQ publishes digital research reports that provide in-depth analysis of Local Innovation Systems (SLI). These combine theoretical insights with field studies, using interdisciplinary expertise in management, finance, applied mathematics, and economic statistics. Reports are produced by dedicated working groups of faculty, researchers, and fellows, who collaborate on specific projects to understand and improve innovation systems at both national and international levels.
