The conference “Evaluation of the Campania Oncology Network Pathway: Results of the Fifth Year of the Val.Pe.ROC Project” concluded on 30 June. The event was promoted by the University of Naples “Parthenope” through the VIMASS Research Lab of the Department of Business and Quantitative Studies (DISAQ), coordinated by Prof. Francesco Schiavone, in collaboration with IRCCS Fondazione G. Pascale, the coordinating centre of the Campania Oncology Network.
The initiative provided an important forum for scientific and institutional discussion on organizational innovation, performance evaluation, and the improvement of care pathways, reaffirming the role of DISAQ and the VIMASS Research Lab as key reference points in applied research on healthcare systems and health governance models.
The participation of the University of Naples “Parthenope”, IRCCS Fondazione G. Pascale, the Campania Region, and the Italian Ministry of Health highlighted the value of collaboration among scientific research, healthcare provision, and public institutions, further strengthening the dialogue between academia and the healthcare system.
During the event, contributions were delivered by Prof. Antonio Garofalo, Rector of the University of Naples “Parthenope”; Michele di Bari, Prefect of Naples; Loredana Raia, Chair of the Campania Regional Health Commission; and Dr Andrea Zovi, senior official at the Italian Ministry of Health, who provided high-level institutional and scientific perspectives.
