Val.Pe.ROC: Fourth-Year Project Results Presented at the Pascale Institute

On 26 June 2025, the conference “Evaluation of the Campania Oncology Network Pathway: Results of the Fourth Year of the Val.Pe.ROC Project” was held at the IRCCS “Fondazione G. Pascale” National Cancer Institute in Naples.

The event focused on presenting and disseminating the project results. Val.Pe.ROC was developed through the collaboration between the VIMASS Research Lab of the Department of Business and Quantitative Studies (DISAQ) at the University of Naples “Parthenope” and the Pascale Institute, with the aim of monitoring and evaluating the care pathways of the Campania Oncology Network (ROC).

The presentation of the fourth-year results represents a further milestone in the research programme aimed at understanding how the Network operates and identifying opportunities to improve the management of Diagnostic, Therapeutic and Care Pathways (PDTA). Performance monitoring makes it possible to assess organizational processes and provide valuable evidence to support both clinical and managerial decision-making.

From this perspective, Val.Pe.ROC promotes the use of data as a key tool for evaluating care pathways. The analysis of care delivery times, patient management processes, and organizational dynamics helps identify critical areas requiring intervention while also highlighting practices and strengths that should be consolidated.

The dissemination of the findings also helps bridge research activities with the operational needs of the Network, encouraging discussion on intervention priorities and future development opportunities for regional oncology care.

Through Val.Pe.ROC, the VIMASS Lab continues its commitment to healthcare performance measurement, strengthening its collaboration with the Pascale Institute and contributing to the development of evaluation tools designed to support the quality and coordination of oncology care pathways.
