The scientific conference “Management of Oncology Networks in Southern Italy: Strengths, Weaknesses, Threats and Opportunities”, promoted by the VIMASS Research Lab, was held on 14 March 2025 at Villa Doria d’Angri.
Following the institutional opening remarks by Rector Antonio Garofalo, Prof. Francesca Perla, Director of DISAQ – Department of Business and Quantitative Studies, and Dr Alfredo Budillon of the “G. Pascale” National Cancer Institute, the proceedings were coordinated by Prof. Francesco Schiavone, Director of VIMASS.
The conference explored the strategic role of oncology networks in creating value for the healthcare system, with a focus on the main critical issues and the challenges facing oncology networks in Southern Italy.
Among the speakers was Dr Paolo Ascierto, oncologist at the Pascale Institute, who contributed to the discussion on the future of oncology research and care.
