The VIMASS Research Lab at the University of Naples “Parthenope” and AORN Antonio Cardarelli presented the final results of the research project “AGILI: Agile Management for the Patient Journey and Waiting Lists”, conducted under the scientific coordination of Prof. Francesco Schiavone. The event took place on 11 June 2024 at the hospital’s Aula Mediterraneo.
Developed through the collaboration between VIMASS and Cardarelli Hospital, the project addresses patient pathway and waiting list management, with the aim of improving organizational efficiency and the quality of healthcare services.
The event opened with institutional remarks by Director General Antonio d’Amore, who highlighted the significance of the initiative for both the hospital and the Campania healthcare system. The Eng. Giuseppe Grimaldi then introduced the main challenges and opportunities related to waiting list management, while Prof. Francesco Schiavone and Dr Emanuele Caputi presented the project results.
Particular attention was given to the patient perspective. Dr Annaluce Mandiello and Dr Anna Bastone presented a patient satisfaction survey, complementing the organizational analysis with an assessment of patients’ experience throughout the care pathway.
The event concluded with a round table moderated by Marco Di Serafino, fostering discussion on the operational and managerial implications of the research and on future opportunities for service improvement.
Through the AGILI project, VIMASS is strengthening its collaboration with local healthcare organizations, contributing to the development of knowledge and tools for more efficient care pathway management with greater attention to the patient experience.
