Val.Pe.ROC: Results of the Third Year of the Campania Oncology Network Presented

On 6 June, the results of the third year of the “Val.Pe.ROC – Evaluation of the Campania Oncology Network Pathway” project, carried out by the VIMASS Research Lab at DISAQ, were presented at the IRCCS National Cancer Institute Fondazione “G. Pascale”.

The research expanded its scope of analysis to include nine hospitals and four private healthcare facilities across the Campania Region, examining six types of cancer—colorectal, ovarian, lung, prostate, bladder, and breast cancer—through 18 key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Diagnostic, Therapeutic and Care Pathways (PDTA).

The results highlight significant progress in the organization and quality of care pathways within the Campania Oncology Network (ROC), providing valuable insights for assessing its development and identifying further areas for improvement.

The presentation brought together healthcare experts and representatives of regional institutions, fostering discussion on the findings and the future development of the Network.

The discussion reaffirmed the importance of collaboration among institutions, healthcare professionals, and the research community in strengthening the Campania Oncology Network (ROC) and contributing to the development of increasingly efficient oncology pathways tailored to the needs of patients across the Campania Region.
