The European Central Bank published its fourth set of climate-related financial disclosures on 15 June 2026. The reports cover the Eurosystem’s monetary policy portfolios, the ECB’s foreign reserves and its non-monetary policy portfolios, including the staff pension fund and own funds portfolio.
The 2026 disclosures introduce inflation-adjusted emissions metrics and, for the first time, relative Scope 3 emissions metrics for non-sovereign holdings. They also provide information on portfolio exposure to sectors with material dependencies on or impacts on nature. The ECB reports that portfolio emissions continued to decline and that the share of green bonds in its own funds reached 33% at the end of 2025.
