The Network for Greening the Financial System published its strategy for 2026–2027 on 2 July 2026. The strategy responds to the growing macroeconomic and financial consequences of climate change and nature loss and aims to increase the practical impact of the Network’s work for central banks, supervisors and the wider financial community.
The NGFS identifies three priorities: remaining a technical incubator for work on physical, adaptation and nature-related risks; strengthening its expertise in short- and long-term climate scenarios; and helping members translate analytical work into operational tools and supervisory practice.
