The Department of Management and Quantitative Studies (DISAQ) at the University of Naples “Parthenope” hosted the fourth edition of the Conference on Sustainable Banking & Finance – CSBF 2026, an international event dedicated to sustainable finance, climate finance and ESG risks.
The conference brought together scholars, representatives of institutions, central banks, regulatory authorities and financial sector professionals, providing an opportunity for discussion on the major changes currently affecting banks, financial markets and intermediaries.
Following the opening remarks by Rector Prof. Antonio Garofalo, Prof. Francesca Perla, Director of DISAQ, Prof. Claudio Porzio, Deputy Rector for Sustainability, and contributions from Prof. Gabriele Sampagnaro and Prof. Francesca Battaglia, the programme featured keynote speeches, policy addresses, parallel sessions and an international roundtable.
Among the highlights of the conference were the keynote speech by Prof. Steven Ongena, policy contributions by Livio Stracca, Andreas Hoepner and Anne-Lise Bontemps-Chanel, and the international roundtable with representatives from national and international institutions. These contributions offered an up-to-date perspective on the regulatory, scientific and operational challenges shaping the transition towards sustainable finance.

CSBF 2026 highlighted the value of dialogue between research, institutions and the financial sector in understanding environmental risks and developing financial tools and models capable of supporting the transition towards a more resilient and transparent financial system.
