The lab for research and exploration of new solutions for the finance of the future

The Naples Fintech Lab is an open innovation laboratory focused on research, ideation, prototyping and scouting of new financial product and service concepts, characterized by value propositions aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Agenda 2030. Open innovation projects are developed based on the business needs of the laboratory’s partners.

METHODOLOGY

3-Step Process to Transform Challenges into Solutions

Laboratory partners propose business and technology challenges to the University.

The laboratory creates teams composed of university students and young talents under 30 who work for six months on project development. Each team is led and supported by university professors and experienced professionals who guide them through all phases of the design process.

In parallel, we involve startups operating in sectors related to the proposed challenges. These startups, selected by a team of experts, collaborate for a two-month period to create customized solutions. During a final demo day, the developed solution and the involved startup are presented to partners and investors, with the opportunity to win an acceleration period for the project or other benefits that will be communicated in the startup call.
