Today, 11 April, the conference \u201cThe Business of Beauty \u2013 Innovation as a Strategy for Enhancing Cultural Heritage\u201d was held at Palazzo Pacanowski, the headquarters of the University of Naples Parthenope. The event was organised by the Department of Business and Quantitative Studies (DISAQ) as part of the activities of the 2023\u20132027 Department of Excellence Project.<\/p>\n

Starting at 9:30 a.m., the event provided an important opportunity to present the Department\u2019s high-level teaching, research and third mission activities developed during the first year of the project, while also offering a space for discussion on the key themes guiding the Department\u2019s current and future activities.<\/p>\n

The event opened with institutional greetings from the Rector, Prof. Antonio Garofalo, and the Director of the Department, Prof. Francesca Perla. This was followed by an introduction from Prof. Francesco Calza, Head of the Department of Excellence Project, who presented the Department\u2019s activities and development prospects within the framework of the project.<\/p>\n

From 10:30 a.m., the round table \u201cThe Business of Beauty \u2013 Innovation as a Strategy for Enhancing Cultural Heritage\u201d brought together a discussion on the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in enhancing cultural and artistic heritage. The dialogue featured contributions from Tiziana D\u2019Angelo, Carolina Botti, Vincenzo Abbatantuoni and Marco Velludo, prominent figures from the worlds of institutions and culture, business and media. The discussion was moderated by Massimo Cerofolini, journalist and Head of Service at RAI.<\/p>\n

The round table provided an important opportunity for dialogue and exchange on a topic of growing relevance for institutions and businesses: the ability to innovate and develop entrepreneurial initiatives as a means of enhancing cultural and artistic heritage, recognising its value not only from a cultural perspective, but also for its social and economic impact.<\/p>\n
